Gossamer Blue Blog Hop

Hi and Welcome to the Gossamer Blue December Blog Hop. I know that it's been a long time since I've posted. No excuses. Honestly, I just haven't spent as much time here as I used to. I definitely will be back with more, though.

Today I have a couple of planner spreads that I created with the December kits. This first one uses a Life's Pages card on which I added a pink flower die cut.  I also used a banner sticker and some die cuts. One of the things I like to do best is to use paper instead of washi tape The funky Basic Grey paper was my favorite from this month's kits, so I cut strips of it and added them to my page.

This next spread is the one I am going to use this week. I added some paper strips from the Memorandum paper pad and the number stickers from the Simple Stories sticker set. I had to add the cute eyelash stickers just because. The card is from the Life's Pages kit and I added the stickers and little clip.
As you can see, the December kits really lent themselves to planner decorating. Hope you were able to gain some inspiration today! Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to head on over to the rest of the DT blogs for even more inspiration.

Gossamer Blue September Blog Hop

It's that time of the month, again. Time to share projects that we made with Gossamer Blue's September kits. They are adorable and I had so much fun with them. Filled with Crate Paper, Pinkfresh Studio and GB exclusives, they don't disappoint. There are still a few kits left, so hop over to the shop and grab one before they are all gone.

AND, as an added bonus this month, I have a giveaway! My mistake is your gain. I ordered two of the Scrapbook Add On 2. It is now sold out, but leave a comment by Sunday, September 20 at 11:59 pm and I'll choose a lucky winner to send it to. (US only)

So, here is one of the layouts I created this month. I absolutely adore the triangle paper on this Pinkfresh paper.

I cut a part of the paper and trimmed around the triangles. Then I attached them to my page. From there, I added a few extra embellishments and VOILA, my page was done. It was really quick and easy.

My next layout uses a bunch of the sweet Crate Paper Wonder collection. I loved the kitty embellishment and journaling card had to use them on a page about my sweet cat. The chipboard frames were perfect for layering, as were the die cuts.

Be sure to stop by the rest of the team blogs for loads of inspiration. And don't forget. Leave a comment for your chance to win this awesome kit:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Planner Pages Gossamer Blue Style!

Hi and Welcome to this month's Gossamer Blue Blog Hop. It's always fun to get more inspiration and that's what we are here to do. Today, I have some fun planner projects to share with you. As you know, I love my planners. The August kits were perfect for filling up my Light Pink Color Crush and keeping me organized in a fun way! I started off by choosing some of my favorite items and filling my front pockets with them. These are the things that I am most likely to need as I plan through the week. I love adding some extra die cuts, too, as decorative items.

Next, I made a dashboard for my planner. This is usually the first page I open and I like to add something with a fun quote. This one sums me up perfectly!

I pulled several of the die cuts to decorate this spread. I used polka dot washi down the side of the page and added cut paper strips along the top and bottom. This way, I could keep things color coordinated even though I didn't have the matching washi.

I love using Life's Pages cards and die cuts in my planners. Here I adhered the cute bus to the card. I added my weekly to do list on the back of the card.

Flair badges are perfect for making cute clips! I just hot glued this one to the paper clip and I was done. I did a couple of more and keep them in my front pocket, too.

This next spread uses even more of the goodies from the kits. Again, the die cuts and label stickers worked great! I also used some stamps. I love the banner stamp and colored it with my Prismacolor pencils.

I also used the kit items to decorate my monthly page. I usually decorate this one as I go along. Here it is at the beginning of the month.
As you can see, the August kits are so much fun and have lots of great elements for planner decorating.

Be sure to stop by everyone's blogs. There's tons of inspiration to go around!
Have a great day. :)

Gossamer Blue August Projects

It can't be August 1st! The summer is going way to quickly. I don't want it to end yet. We have had a wonderful time traveling and making memories.  I just got back from a wonderful week in the Outer Banks. I love it there so much. Luckily, Gossamer Blue's August kits are filled with amazing summery goodness. I had a ball creating with them and still have a bunch more that I want to do using them.

The kits go on sale today, so be sure to head over and grab your's . You won't be disappointed! Here are a couple of projects that I made using them.

I loved this Simple Stories paper and wanted it to be the focus of my page, along with the photo. So, I added a couple of embellishments and called it a day. I love how it totally captured the 'Maui' feeling!

This next page is one about Ryan. I loved the Life's Pages card and used it to document his 'currents'. The 'he' die cut originally said 'she'. I just cut off the s. Love how it turned out.

Be sure to head over to Gossamer Blue to see the amazing DT Gallery this month and to check out the kits!

Crate Paper Card Set

This summer is just flying by! We spent a wonderful two weeks in Hawaii. As soon as I got home, though, the vacation was over. I had to pack my mom's house and help her move to her new retirement community. Her new place is great, but it's a lot smaller so it's going to take some time to sort through everything. The week was exhausting while we packed, moved and unpacked, but I think I am finally over my jet lag. LOL. This weekend finally brought some time to relax.

Here are a few cards that I made with Gossamer Blue's July kits. They are so fun and perfect for documenting all of your summer getaways or staycations.  I used the Crate Paper Journeys line on here. It's so cute!

Head over to Gossamer Blue, as there are still some kits available.

Thanks for stopping by!

July Gossamer Blue Projects

It's July 1st and you know what that means! The Gossamer Blue kits are live! This month, Lori pulled together some fun travel themed goodies for the kits. As you can see, though, you don't have to be going anywhere to use them. I really had a lot of fun creating this month. Here are 3 layouts that I made.

This first page is about how much I love the beach, specifically the beach at my brother's home in Nags Head, NC. The lighter colors were perfect for my photo.

The cute wood clouds are from Shimelle's wood die cut set. Love them!

Next is a page about my high school BFF. I love using cards from the Life's Pages kits on my pages. I layered the 'fantastic' one with the camera one to create the title.

Finally, this is a page about my little family and how I love journeying through life with them. I used a mix of fun things on here. My favorites are the wood 'adventure' word and the feather border from the Crate Paper Journeys die cut set.

Finally, if you love stamps, be sure to check out the set that comes with the Life's Pages set this month. It is fabulous. Here is my favorite one!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Color Crush Pages

The lazy days of summer have arrived and I am loving every second of them! I am trying to savor this time, as it goes so quickly.

Here are a few spreads that I have done this past month.

First off, here is my completed May calendar. I love the rainbow and dot washi tapes. They are both from Doodlebug.

This spread in my Sky Blue Color Crush featured some cute kitty stickers and page markers. I think the stickers were from Sticko, but am not sure.

Memorial Day week was a lot of fun in my White Color Crush. I used goodies from Pebble's Americana line. The washi and border stickers are Doodlebug. I used Doodlebug 3D stickers to create the hot dog and hamburger clips. I just adhered them to the clips.

This next spread uses goodies from Pink Paislee's Citrus Twist line. I seriously love it. The mix of Flamingoes and fruit just screams summer to me.

Back in my Sky Blue Color Crush, I used goodies from my Planner Society kit. I seriously adore this kit. I cut the flower and the border along the bottom from some of the exclusive papers that came with the kit.

Finally, here is my Sky Blue with goodies from my Happie Scrappie Planner kit. This one is so much fun, too. I mixed in some Echo Park stickers and my new felt clips from Pigtails and Pockets (on Etsy).

So, that's what I've been up to, plannerwise. (Is that a word? LOL)

June Gossamer Blue Blog Hop

Hi and welcome! It's the 15th of the month and that means that we are here with more inspiration from Gossamer Blue's June kits. As you know, we like to share more projects to keep you inspired with the kit.  I saved my favorite layout for last.

This layout is about a few of my favorite things. Getting my nails done and planning are definitely two things that I love. I added my list by using the clips that came with the kit. I punched circles and attached the to that, then used foam adhesive to attach them to the page.

These vellum hearts were one of my favorite embellishments in this month's kits. I created a border with them and added some stitching. I love how they look against the grey and white striped paper!

My next project is a spread in my Traveler's Notebook.  I have been doing the Lister's Gotta List challenge. Each day, there is a prompt and you create a list based off it. I love using my scrappy supplies to decorate the pages.  The June kit had such fun colors to use on my lists.

Well, that's it for this month. Thanks so much for stopping by. Be sure to visit the rest of the team for even more inspiration and ideas!

Color Crush Catch Up

I often hear people say that they don't understand the whole 'planner thing'. I'm not sure what there isn't to understand. It's fun!!

I love decorating because it makes me happy to open up my planner and add stuff to it. Plus, it gives me another way to use all of my scrapping supplies. Here are some of my recent spreads.

This first one is my April calendar. It was easy to do. I added some washi and stickers to the empty spaces at the beginning of the month. Then, as the days passed, I added more where there were blank spots.

This spread in my Dark Pink planner used stickers and paper from Kaisercraft. It's called Dream Big.

This next spread used lots of goodies from the Target Dollar spot. I love the pink, green and grey here. The little phone clip is made from a Crate Paper chipboard piece.

Next up is my Light Teal planner. I used May's Gossamer Blue kits here. The card is from the Life's Pages kit, I also used stamps and stickers from the kit. I made the bow clip from exclusive paper that came with it and the other clip was made from a Crate Paper 3d sticker.

This next one uses October Afternoon's Treasure Map line. I added that cute little whale clip. Isn't he cute? He's from Kawaii Paperie on Etsy.

I pulled out some cute Kawaii goodies for this next spread. I love the tape. I think it's from Etsy. The pig clip is also from Kawaii Paperie.

Finally, I decorated the front of my Sky Blue with lots of goodies from my Planner Society kit. This was the first month that I got the kit and I love it. I'll be sharing a couple of more projects I made with the kit soon.

Well, that's it for today. If you have any questions, let me know. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Coffee Lovers Summer Blog Hop

It's that time! I had so much fun participating in the Spring Coffee Lover's Blog Hop that I had to do the summer one, too. We had to do something summer themed, so I pulled out my June Gossamer Blue kits, since the colors are so bright and cheery - perfect for summer. Here is what I pulled together.

I used Pink Paislee die cuts, Verve stamp, Verve die cut (coffee) and some American Crafts paper. The sentiment pretty much sums up how I feel about my coffee!

Be sure to visit the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's Blog for links to a ton of wonderful cards.

Thanks for stopping by.

Gossamer Blue June Kits

Gossamer Blue June Kits are available and I have to say this month is one of my favorites. My projects came together so quickly! I love the mix of Pink Paislee and American Crafts goodies this month.

Here's a couple of the projects that I made with them. First up is a layout I created using Main Kit only. I wanted the photo to be the main thing on the page. On Mother's Day, I came home from running errands to find this beautiful message written from the fallen cherry blossom petals on  our front lawn.

I decided to embellish around the photo and used some of the GB printable die cuts, and lots of the Pink Paislee die cuts.
That pineapple is one of my favorites. Isn't it cute??
I thought this wood 'keeper' tag was the perfect accent, as well!

Next up is a page I made about Ryan with a couple of our dear friends. We went to their home the night before my birthday and had a wonderful dinner and birthday cake celebration.

I love the triangle paper and used that for the background. It's a GB exclusive. I layered several of the Life's Pages cards together to create the background.

Then I added the embellishments. I love these ones on the sticks. I think they are super fun to tuck behind items and layer over elements.

Be sure to stop by the Gossamer Blue gallery for lots of inspiration! And check back on the 15th for a second round of projects during the GB blog hop.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
